Comedy’s greatest acts gather for a great night of entertainment benefitting local animal organizations

LAS VEGAS – Palms Casino Resort and famed comedian royalty Sammy Shore will hit a funny bone for animals with the second annual Funny Bones comedy act 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011 inside the Palms Ballroom.

The Funny Bones comedy jam boasts an all-star cast emceed by the always-impressive talents of host Sammy Shore, founder of LA’s famed Comedy Store and opening act for Elvis Presley; co-host Bobby Slayton, and an array of talented friends including Vinnie Favorito, George Wallace, Pauly Shore, Dennis Blair, Geechy Guy, James P. Connolly and Doug Starks. The show will also feature soap opera actress and Broadway star Catherine Hickland, DJ Ben Harris of the Terry Fator Show and other special guests.

The funds raised from this year’s comedy jam will go to the Funny Bones Foundation. The purpose of Funny Bones Foundation is to provide financial support to abandoned animals in need of advanced medical and surgical care that are under the care of established non-profit animal rescue organizations in Clark County by generating funds through comedy events and fundraising.

Funny Bones is possible due to the dedicated people who believe in helping the local animal community: Dr. Matthew Brooks, Sammy and Suzanne Shore, show producer and director James D’Arrigo, Palms Casino Resort, Shanon Moore, Jean McCusker, Catherine Luce, Jocelyn Arter, Deb Pietro and volunteers.
